ABC Auto Care uses the HawkEye Elite® Alignment System from Hunter Engineering to provide precise wheel alignment service for drivers throughout Ventura, CA and Ventura County. Designed for today's increasingly sophisticated vehicles, the HawkEye Elite® uses high-resolution cameras and wheel-mounted targets to quickly measure vehicle alignment angles with exceptional accuracy.
Hunter QuickGrip® adaptors attach securely to the tires using spring-loaded arms without metal-to-metal contact with the wheel. This helps protect valuable wheel finishes while allowing our technicians to obtain accurate alignment measurements quickly and efficiently. Initial measurements can be produced in approximately 70 seconds, giving our technicians the information needed to evaluate alignment conditions and begin the proper adjustment process.
Quick Setup & Results
HawkEye Elite® can produce initial alignment measurements in approximately 70 seconds.
Reduced Setup Time
QuickGrip® adaptors help streamline setup with only one trip around the vehicle.
Fast, Accurate Measurements
Camber, toe, and caster measurements are displayed using easy-to-understand graphics.
Accurate wheel alignment depends on accurate measurements. The HawkEye Elite® system gives ABC Auto Care technicians detailed information about a vehicle's alignment geometry while helping reduce setup time and unnecessary steps. Combined with the experience of our technicians and the other professional equipment used in our shop, this technology helps us provide efficient, precise wheel alignment service for our Ventura area clients.
Four strategically positioned cameras measure the QuickGrip® targets mounted to each wheel, allowing alignment measurements to be gathered quickly and accurately.
- 1 walk around the vehicle
- 0 console interactions
- 72 total steps
Earlier camera-sensor alignment systems required additional setup time, technician movement, and console interaction before measurements could be completed.
- 3 walks around the vehicle
- 6 console interactions
- 183 total steps
Traditional wheel-mounted sensor systems could require considerably more setup time and technician interaction before alignment measurements were available.

Fast Installation
QuickGrip® adaptors attach quickly to the tire, and off-center target placement does not compromise measurement accuracy.
Helps Protect Wheels
The adaptors grip the tire rather than the wheel, helping eliminate metal-to-metal contact with valuable rim surfaces.
Lightweight Design
The compact QuickGrip® design makes setup easier for our technicians while maintaining accurate measurements.
- Tires are gripped by spring-loaded arms
- Clamp is secured with a thumb screw
- Accuracy is unaffected by off-center target placement
- Only the tire is gripped
- Wheel surfaces are safeguarded by the protective design
- Approximately 50% lighter than earlier designs
- No electronics, cables, or calibration within the adaptor
- Minimal maintenance required
- Approximately 9-inch profile
- Easy for technicians to handle
- Compact design works well in narrow service bays
- Accommodates wheel and tire assemblies up to 37 inches
- One arm configuration handles most applications
WinAlign® software calculates the actual wheel position regardless of target centering.
Vehicle communication through the OBD-II port and compatible vehicle communication interfaces can assist technicians with diagnostic and alignment-related procedures.
Dynamic CalibrationsCertain vehicles may require dynamic calibration procedures following alignment or related service.
Forward-Facing Radar & Camera CalibrationsCompatible procedures can assist with calibration requirements for forward-facing cameras and radar systems related to vehicle direction of travel.
Blind Spot & Surround View CalibrationsModern vehicles may also require calibration procedures for side, rear, and surround-view driver-assistance sensors.
Hunter CodeLink® integrates vehicle communication with the alignment system to assist with steering angle sensor resets when required by the vehicle manufacturer.
Electronic Steering SystemsMany modern vehicle systems rely on electronic steering information to determine vehicle direction and support safety and driver-assistance functions.
Aligner IntegrationCodeLink® integrates with Hunter WinAlign® systems and provides technicians with guided procedures directly through the alignment system.
